What you need to know about Sutton

Sutton

Sutton is the principal town in the London borough of Sutton in southwest London, approximately 10 miles from the city centre. It is an historic town with a mixture of Georgian and Victorian architecture with at least 20 grade 1 and 2* listed buildings in the town centre alone, including churches and memorials that give historical context to the town and its surrounding area. Recent developments have seen the modernisation of the town centre to include many well known retailers and chain stores supporting the local economy and adding a sense of vibrancy to area and is home to two shopping centres, The St Nicholas Centre which reopened in 1991 was originally opened as the Sutto arcade in 1926, and Times Square shopping centre which opened in 1985.
