What you need to know about Clayhall

Clayhall

Clayhall is one of the districts within the London Borough of Redbridge and considered part of the larger district of Ilford. It is predominantly a residential neighbourhood but also has a decent selection of local businesses and retail stores, in addition to being afforded convenient access to the more extensive commercial amenities along Barkingside High Street. The district is also home to Clayhall Park, which is one of the largest open spaces in the borough and features two play areas for children and facilities for various sports and outdoor activities. Residential properties in the area lean heavily towards early 20th century family housing, Clayhall has no rail stations of its own but is surrounded by a number of stations on the London Underground’s Central line. The Ilford railway station, on the other hand, is a considerable distance to the south but remains the closest means of overground rail transport.
