What you need to know about Kingsbury

Kingsbury

Kingsbury is a north-west London district that occupies the better part of the north-east corner of the London Borough of Brent. The area’s main features the sizable Roe Green Park, an even larger expanse of open space to its south that includes Kingsbury Sports Ground and Fryent Country Park, and an extremely busy stretch of various commercial establishments along Kingsbury Road. The rest of its built-up sections, meanwhile, mainly comprise a mix of high-rise properties and wider blocks of suburban development that remain the most dense in the area immediately surrounding the district’s rail station. Kingsbury is also relatively close to Wembley Park, affording the neighbourhood’s residents access to the latter’s considerably more extensive retail options. Rail service in the area, however, is largely limited to the Kingsbury tube station, which is on the London Underground’s Jubilee line, though the Hendon railway station is not too far away to the east either and is served by Thameslink trains.
