What you need to know about Hornsey

Hornsey

Hornsey is a north London district located roughly 10 km north of Charing Cross and within the London Borough of Haringey. The locality is flanked by Queen’s Wood and Alexandra Park to the north and mainly considered a suburban residential district, with housing that is able to cater to a variety of different needs. While the eastern section of Hornsey retains a considerable amount of green space, the rest of the area is largely built up. Hornsey High Street, which meets Tottenham Lane near the station, is home to several parades of shops, as well as a number of dining establishments and pubs. Hornsey’s most conveniently accessible transport links are part of the overground system, with the Hornsey and Haringey railway stations located towards the south and north ends of the district, respectively. A handful of Transport for London bus routes also have stops within or around the area.
