What you need to know about Cricklewood

Cricklewood

Cricklewood is a district in the north-west London region whose area is divided among the boroughs of Barnet, Brent, and Camden. Cricklewood Broadway, the section of Edgware Road that passes through the area, and its parades of shops stand out in sharp contrast to the rest of neighbourhood, which is dominated by vintage properties and an abundance of green open spaces. The ornately decorated Clayton Crown Hotel (which was a more recent addition to a grade II listed public house), is the biggest landmark on the Broadway, However, the district’s most well-known features are still its two parks; Mapesbury Dell and the much larger Gladstone Park, whose already extensive facilities were improved further early in the 21st century with the help of funding from the Heritage Lottery. Despite Cricklewood’s quiet atmosphere, it is served by a generous number of transport links, including the recently-renovated bus garage, the Cricklewood and Brondesbury railway stations, and Willesden Green and Kilburn London Underground stations.
