E14

The E14 postcode district in the east London region covers the entire Isle of Dogs area in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets along with Limehouse to the north-west and Blackwall to the north-east. The district is one of the busiest and most densely-populated areas in east London and is home to a wide variety of both public and private residential properties, several large sections are dedicated to office and retail uses, whilst there is relatively healthy abundance of parks and open spaces. Canary Wharf and its collection of high-rise developments, many of which are counted among the tallest in the UK, are situated near the centre of the district and remains its most built-up area, while the localities to the south are more known for their distinct maritime character as well as their shopping centres and long-standing public houses. North of Canary Wharf, most of the area is given to residential developments, many of which are centered around Poplar’s Chrisp Street Market. The DLR has thirteen stations within E14 alone, which are complemented by the Limehouse railway station, the Canary Wharf tube station, and numerous London Bus routes.
