What you need to know about Mile End

Mile End

Mile End is one of the oldest suburbs in the East End of London. The district is under the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Although the residential properties were originally built for working class communities, many upmarket restaurants and bars have now settled across the district. There are now some surprisingly green spaces within this urbanised area; Mile End Park is a 79-acre park that is split into different zones with its own market, landscapes, and gardens, while Green Bridge is a architectural masterpiece where the view from the pavement is only a smooth surface of yellow that hides its abundant trees and plants on the top. Mile End is also a great place for recreational and sports activities such as running, wall-climbing, swimming, and outdoor ball sports. Students are also familiar in the neighbourhood due to the prestigious Queen Mary's University which is situated in the district. The transport systems are also excellent, and the main railway is served by Mile End tube station on the Central line. The city centre is 2.8 miles away and can be reached in 20 minutes by car.
