Wembley Central is one of the neighbourhoods within Wembley, which is the principal town of the London Borough of Brent. Its area is mainly centered around the tube station after which it was named and includes a good section of Wembley’s High Road, one of the town’s main commercial districts. Other shopping destinations in the vicinity include Ealing, which is known for its collection of South Asian gold and jewellery, London Designer Outlet in Wembley Park, and Brent Cross Shopping Centre a good way further east. Wembley Central and the rest of the district in general, however, are most famous for being home Wembley Stadium. Rebuilt in the early 21st century, the stadium is the largest in the United Kingdom and is considered one of its main venues for football matches, in addition being the home stadium of the England national football team. The Wembley Central rail station, located just south of the High Road, is one of the busiest in the region and on the London Underground Bakerloo line in addition to being served by Southern, West Midlands, and Watford DC Line trains.
