Coffee cup recycling in WD4 is a new initiative that was been rolled out because of the rise of the number of coffee shops that opened in WD4. WD4 is 24.930 square metres and caters for approximately 24 coffee shops, inevitably coffee cups are found in a lot of places. The recycling rate has gone from 1 in 400 to 1 in 25 recently mainly because 115 local authorities now collect paper cups and almost 30 waste collection companies have got involved in helping recycle coffee cups.

5. Once there are enough coffee cups stored, they will be transported to James Cropper PLC (Burnside Mill) for the coffee cup recycling process to begin
