Where are the nearest recycling centres in Norbury

Norbury residents who prefer practicality over efficiency and convenience in terms of waste management solutions can head to nearby civic amenity sites to dispose of domestic waste. There are 3 civic amenity sites in the borough, however only two of which are open to residents. The nearest is just 10 minutes away via Thornton Road located at Factory Ln, West Croydon and is open daily from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm on weekdays and Saturdays and 8:30 am to 4 pm on Sundays. However, it should be noted that while residents could visit daily, commercial vehicles are only permitted to tip on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 am to 2 pm. Meanwhile, the other facility located at Fishers Farm, North Downs Rd is open from 8 am to 4 pm on weekdays and from 9 am to 2 pm on Saturdays but only until 1 pm on Sundays. Both facilities accept most types of domestic waste besides liquids and hazardous waste, DIY waste is also accepted however residents are only allowed to dispose of up to 6 bags per visit. Peak time at the facility is on Saturday and is best avoided if residents wish to avoid long queue lines and even longer waiting time. It is also advisable to visit the council website first and check for restrictions, requirements and other relevant information to make the trip worthwhile.
