East Acton residents are just 30 minutes away from the civic amenity site at Smugglers Way via the A219, which is open to all residents and has dedicated entrances for pedestrians and those arriving by bike and car. There’s also another reuse and recycling centre at Cringle Street, just 42 minutes away via A4220 which is open 24/7 to accommodate residents arriving in vans. Both facilities accept most types of waste apart from liquids and hazardous waste. The same restrictions apply to the civic amenity site at Greenford Road, 16 minutes away via Western Avenue as well as to the other facility half an hour away via the A406. Residents are advised to call ahead or check the council website before making the trip to see requirements, restrictions and other relevant information. Residents can also visit the recycling centres on Horn Lane to dispose of recyclable batteries, coffee cups and paper.
